About
I am a freelance journalist and documentary filmmaker with ten years’ experience. A strong self-shooter, I have filmed around the world for the BBC, ITV, Channel 4, Channel 5 and online platforms. I am HEFAT trained via a Rory Peck Trust bursary.
Over a decade in broadcasting I’ve worked across genres, from fast-turnaround current affairs programmes to embedded observational documentaries filmed over the course of a year. I’ve worked in refugee camps, factories, military bases, prisons and hospitals; and travelled to China, Uganda, Thailand and Greece, as well as in every pocket of the UK.
I have also worked in development for Idris Elba’s production company Green Door Pictures and for Hellflower Films, makers of the Sundance Grand Jury Prize-nominated The Lovers And The Despot.
My most recent work includes Nirvana For Sale, a film about Thailand’s controversial Dhammakaya sect, for Channel 4’s acclaimed foreign affairs series Unreported World, and an episode of Panorama for the BBC about smart motorways. The film garnered widespread coverage across news bulletins and brought about a change in government policy.
